yo. today is damn fun man.
have u all ever experienced being blind?
today i had a chance to experienced it.
went to dialogue in the dark.
we were first given instructions and a walking cane.
those with specs must also remove.
we went into a room and its complete darkness man.
cant even see anything.
at first we were like so scared.
but slowly we were like used to being "blind".
btw the tour guide was partially blind.
we touch de wall and follow de guides voice to reach de place we were supposed to go.
there was sir stamford raffles in the journey.
we also took a boat!
and went to chinatown!
i rang the bell of a bicycle!
we all knock on the door of a house and pressed the doorbell.
we also went to a wet market.
i touched pear, chestnut,apple,oranges.....
oh ya... i BANG into the wall a lot of times.
but in the end we had lots of fun.

what had i learn?

first of all, i learnt that we must put ourselves in others ppl shoes.
what do u think a blind person will feel when he/she is walking alone on the streets?
nobody is talking to him/her. will he/she feel lonely? insecure? afraid?
when we see a blind person on the street, try to walk forward and say hi to him/her.
a simple 'hello' will make him/her happy.

secondly, change your mindset towards the disabled people.
do not always assume that the disabled people are helpless.
only help them when they are in need.

just came back from orientation camp on fri.
it was quite fun. :)
our grp name was "Boom Boom Pau!".
hehes. quite a funny name if u ask me.
made a lot of new friends during this camp.
the DAL ( dangerously attractive leaders) are fantastic man!
without them, our grp will not have so much fun.
the place we stay at is the BEST. its like a hotel. :) its just opposite ngee ann poly campus.
haish. starting sch on mon.
tts fast man.
oh ya. i chose yoga for my SNW module.
heard tt its the most slack module. hahas. :)
